Members of PHO’s Technical Division headed by Ma. Josiane Pepito, nurse coordinator for Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FP-RH) Program, conducted monitoring and evaluation activities for the Rural Health Units of towns Loay, Albur, and Baclayon on March 30, March 31, and April 1, respectively.The public health nurses and rural health midwives of the aforementioned RHUs presented records on FP Form 1, Target Client List, FP Summary Table, and monthly reports which are to be consolidated and reconciled further in preparation for the First Quarter Report for calendar year 2022.”Sa PHO Una Ang Serbisyo”#BuhatAngPasultion

CABILAO ISLAND, LOON – Two hundred eighty-nine children, adolescents, and adults were vaccinated against COVID-19 last March 29 and 30 by Bohol PHO’s Mobile Vaccination Team in partnership with Loon RHU II headed by Dr. Leobelle Ruth Buac-Aoay and the BLGU of Cambaquiz headed by its barangay captain, Ms. Marilyn Autentico.

Those inoculated were also provided with facemasks, paracetamol, and multivitamins.

World Tuberculosis (TB) Day

Each year, we commemorate World Tuberculosis (TB) Day on March 24 to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of TB, and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic. This year’s theme is, “Invest to End TB. Save Lives.” – a slogan that conveys the urgent need to invest resources in order to ramp up the fight against TB and achieve the commitments made by the global community to end this infectious disease. In support to this annual special event, the Bohol Provincial Health Office spearheaded activities, namely: (1) the launching of the Francisco Dagohoy Memorial Hospital TB Center in Inabanga town; (2) the presentation of the Top Performer in BC Enrollment Rate Award, the Top Performer in TB Preventive Rate Award, and an air purifier to the Rural Health Unit of Clarin from DOH VII; and (3) TB counselling and screening, and free PPD testing services were provided to twenty children fifteen years old and below at Cabilao Island in Loon.”Sa PHO Una Ang Serbisyo”#BuhatAngPasultion

A series of COVID-19 vaccination activities

A series of COVID-19 vaccination activities were conducted last March 23-25 at Cuaming Island in Inabanga, Barangay Montevideo in Carmen, and at Bohol Island State University – Main Campus in Tagbilaran City, respectively, with a combined total of 645 individuals inoculated by the PHO Vaccination Team.These activities were made successful through the leadership of Dr. Yul Lopez, Dr. Emerson Mateo, and the Bohol Provincial Isolation Center Team of PHO with the assistance and cooperation of the LGU and RHU staff of each vaccination site headed by Dr. Leobelle Ruth Buac-Aoay of RHU Carmen, and Dr. Maria Juliet Nazareno of BISU together with the school’s ROTC members.”Sa PHO Una Ang Serbisyo”#BuhatAngPasultion#BayanihanBakunahan
