Bohol PHO’s Provincial NTP CORE Team headed by its provincial program coordinator Ms. Polizena Rances together with Ms. Angelita Maleriado, Ms. Crisanta Estomago, and Ms. Elma Lumanas of DOH continue to visit all public and private TB DOTS facilities in the province in order to assess and evaluate TB-HIV program implementation according to the Department of Health standard and to provide support to the RHU’s capacity building activities.On the other hand, two TB-HIV clients from Buenavista and one from Balilihan were also tested and evaluated as scheduled during their visit.”Sa PHO Una Ang Serbisyo”#BuhatAngPasultion

An additional 136 young adults aged 12-17 from Barangay Tanghaligue in Talibon town had been added to the list of vaccinated individuals in our province last March 17.Dr. Emerson Mateo and the Mobile Vaccination Team of the Bohol Provincial Health Office together with Dr. Jeffrey Ong of the Bohol Medical Society headed the event which was made successful with the help of the barangay health workers of RHU Talibon.Meanwhile, a combined total of 345 individuals were also vaccinated against COVID-19 last March 10-11 in BISU and on March 12 in Barangay Biking in Dauis, respectively, during the conduct of another National Vaccination Day supervised by Ms. Machie Caliao, nurse program coordinator and COVID-19 vaccination focal point person of the PHO.”Sa PHO Una Ang Serbisyo”#BuhatAngPasultion#BayanihanBakunahan

Monthly Seawater and Septage Water Sampling in Panglao

The Environment and Sanitation Services Section of the Bohol Provincial Health Office headed by Engr. Asuncion Odtohan conducted its monthly seawater and septage water sampling in Panglao on March 14 and 15. This regular activity helps ensure strict implementation of proper waste disposal and thereby avoid contamination of our water resources especially that a significant increase in the number of local tourists and motorboats had been observed at the specific monitored areas.In addition, the EVS Team also continues to inspect water refilling stations to ensure full compliance with stringent drinking water safety guidelines in accordance with procedures prescribed by the Department of Health.”Sa PHO Una Ang Serbisyo”#BuhatAngPasultion
